Self-tanning, but next level: discover the Tinge Self Tanning Drops
The summer may be over, but your sunkissed complexion doesn’t have to be. 🤎
A natural glow without the sun, without the typical self-tan smell AND without that dry, tight feeling that many self-tanners are known for? That was exactly what we wanted to achieve with our new Tinge Self Tanning Drops.
Not a one-size-fits-all self-tanner, but a caring formula that allows you to decide for yourself how subtle or intense your complexion becomes. A few drops in your favourite cream, serum or body lotion and you’re done.
Not your ordinary self-tanning drops
With a classic self-tanner, the focus is mainly on one thing: colour.
We wanted to go further.
The Tinge Self Tanning Drops combine DHA + erythrulose with hyaluronic acid in 7 different molecular weights. This way, you not only get a gradually built-up complexion, but your skin also receives extra hydration.
And because no one is waiting for that typical self-tan smell, special attention was also paid to that.
Why we are fans:
- 98.46% ingredients of natural origin
- DHA + erythrulose for a natural, even glow
- self-buildable from subtle to more intense
- 7 MW hyaluronic acid for extra hydration
- no typical self-tan smell
- developed to prevent the skin from feeling dry or tight
- suitable for face and body
- easy to mix with your own skincare

But how does self-tanning actually work?
A self-tanner does not “paint” your skin and does not stimulate melanin like the sun does.
DHA reacts with amino acids in the upper layer of the skin. During this reaction, coloured compounds are formed that provide the brown tone. It is the same kind of natural tanning process that you see, for example, when a cut apple slowly discolours.
Erythrulose works on a similar principle, but develops a bit slower. By combining both ingredients, the colour can build up more gradually and evenly and appear more natural.
The result is therefore achieved completely without UV radiation.
Why DHA and erythrulose?
DHA is a true classic in self-tanning because it can relatively quickly provide a visible tan.
Erythrulose does the same job more gently. The colour develops more slowly and thus helps to build the final result softer and more evenly.
Together they form a lovely combination for those who prefer not to have a sudden, exaggerated tan, but a sunkissed glow that you control step by step.
Self-tan can dry out. That’s why we added 7 MW of hyaluronic acid.
DHA can give a drier or tighter skin feel for some skin types. And that’s exactly what we wanted to avoid.
That’s why the formula contains hyaluronic acid with 7 different molecular weights.
Why seven?
Because hyaluronic acid can contribute to hydration at different levels of the skin depending on its molecular size. By combining multiple molecular weights, we support the skin more broadly in its moisture balance.
The goal: skin that not only has a beautiful tone after tanning but also feels soft, smooth, and comfortable.
Self-tan, but with skincare in mind.
And what about that typical self-tan smell?
You probably know it: a few hours after applying a self-tanner, that very recognisable self-tan smell suddenly appears.
In developing our drops, we wanted to approach that differently.
The Tinge Self Tanning Drops have a neutral scent experience and are developed without that typical “fake tan” feel.
Because a nice glow is great. Walking around smelling like self-tanner is a bit less so. 😉
Your glow, your way
Not everyone wants to be equally tanned.
That’s why drops are so handy: you decide how much you add to your skincare product.
Do you just want that “just back from holiday”-effect? Then start with a little.
Want it a bit more intense? Gradually build up your tone.
This way you never have to go from zero to full tan.

How do you use the Tinge Self Tanning Drops?
Always use the drops mixed with a skincare product and do not apply them pure directly to the skin.
For the face:
First mix 1 to 2 drops with your day cream, serum or moisturiser in the palm of your hand and then distribute the mixture evenly over your face and neck.
Want a bit more colour later? Then you can gradually increase the number of drops.
For the body:
Mix the drops with your body lotion in your palm and distribute well over the skin. Preferably work zone by zone so that you use approximately the same amount everywhere.
Always wash your hands well after application, especially between the fingers and around the nails.
Preparation really makes a difference
Do you want your tan to be nice and even? Then it actually starts before you use the drops.
Preferably exfoliate the day before
By gently scrubbing the skin, you remove loose, dead skin cells. This gives you a more even skin surface on which the colour can develop more uniformly.
Pay extra attention to drier areas such as:
- elbows;
- knees;
- ankles
- heels
In such places, self-tan can become darker more quickly because the skin is drier and rougher there.
Preferably shave beforehand
Do you want to shave your legs or other areas? Do this preferably before you tan and give the skin some time to calm down.
Start on clean skin
Apply the mixture evenly to cleansed skin and avoid thick layers of product.
How long does the colour remain visible?
The tan develops gradually and remains visible for an average of 3 to 7 days.
Because the colour forms in the upper skin layer, it fades along with the natural skin renewal.
Want to maintain your glow? Use the drops, for example, every 2 to 3 days again and adjust the number of drops according to the desired result.
This way, you prevent having to start from scratch each time.

Can you exercise or shower with it?
Once the colour is fully developed, it is in the upper skin layer. It does not simply wash away during showering or sweating.
The tan will gradually fade as dead skin cells are shed.
However, it is true that intensive scrubbing, the use of oils, a lot of friction, or aggressive cleansing can cause your tan to fade more quickly.
Also interesting for sensitive skin?
In developing the formula, skin comfort was deliberately taken into account. The formula is fragrance-free and contains moisturising ingredients such as multi-molecular hyaluronic acid.
Do you have a very sensitive, reactive or atopy-prone skin? Then we always recommend testing a small amount on a limited area of skin before using the product more widely.
Every skin reacts differently, after all.
And no: self-tan is not an SPF
A tanned complexion from DHA and erythrulose does not protect your skin against UV radiation.
Therefore, always use suitable sun protection during the day when you are exposed to the sun.
So you do get the look of a sunkissed skin - but that doesn't mean you can skip SPF.
Summer glow, extended. ☀
Summer doesn't have to last forever to keep your glow for a while.
With the Tinge Self Tanning Drops you build your own tan, completely at your own pace: subtle, warm or a bit more intense.
With DHA + erythrulose, 7 MW hyaluronic acid, 98.46% ingredients of natural origin and without that typical self-tan smell.
A few drops. Your skincare. Your glow.
